Every day, somebody dies from an electrocution at work. To handle electricity safely, you need to know how it acts, how it can be controlled, and how it can hurt you. Workers performing service or maintenance on machinery and equipment may be injured by unexpected startup or release of electrical energy. Needless deaths and injuries can be prevented by establishing and following an effective lockout/tagout program. This training will tell you more about electrical hazards in construction work, safe practices when working with electricity, and how a lockout/tagout program can save your life. Ideal learners are construction workers.  

This online Electrical Safety in HAZMAT Environments course is designed to help facilities comply with OSHA's HAZWOPER regulation (29 CFR 1910.120).

This course is based on CSA Z462-18 Workplace Electrical Safety Standard 2018 Edition and is CSA Z1001-18 compliant. ESTS Electrical Worker training is based on industry Standards and Regulation, providing documentation tools in support of the Employer’s overall Occupational Health & Safety Management System and an Electrical Safety Program.

This (2 hour) online course training course is aimed at developing knowledge and skills associated with locating underground utilities (transmission, petroleum, electric power, gas distribution, and telecommunications).
